Bathroom Remodel: Day 4/5

Well, the contractor is done with his prep work. As you can see, all of the cement board is put up, the drywall seams are done, and the rubber lining for the shower pan is in. Well, at least we thought is was in. The tiling guys came to check on the job to make sure things were ok, and they noticed that the rubber lining was installed incorrectly. The lining is supposed to be tucked underneath on the inside of the cement board. Also, the liner was somewhat sloppily put in by the plumber.

The end result? We fired the old plumber, and now the tile people will be in charge of correcting things and replacing the mud pan liner. The fun of home ownership...
If you look carefully, you can see 2 colors we are deciding between for the walls. We're trying a nice bright green. Will it be Sage Sweater, or will Fresh Guacamole win out? Stay tuned!
